The only downside was the incredibly comfortable hammocks that made it impossible to get up and explore the city.

happy buddha in yogya was even better than our previous stay. the staff was incredibly polite and helpful, and the hostel had a great vibe with beautifully painted rooms. the common areas were perfect for relaxing and meeting other travelers. highly recommended!

We had an amazing time at Happy Buddha! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and we loved the cozy communal lounge where we could relax and meet other guests. The staff, especially Ardi, were friendly and were really nice too make us feel welcome. They helped us with everything from renting scooters to recommending local spots to try delicious food. The breakfast was delicious and varied every day, and we enjoyed taking showers in the open air. The location was perfect, with plenty of little restaurants nearby that even had live music in the evenings. Despite a few ants and the loud mosque nearby, we were provided with earplugs to block out any noise. we highly recommend Happy Buddha for a nice stay!

I had the best hostel experience ever at Happy Buddha in Yogyakarta! The place is even more beautiful than the photos, with colorful and cozy surroundings. The hostel is conveniently located in the center of the Prawirotaman area, surrounded by bars and restaurants. The vibrant street next to the hostel offers a variety of dining options. In addition, the hostel provides a booklet with information about tours and activities, making it convenient and time-saving for guests to book their excursions.

The lack of sufficient plugs in the room can be a minor inconvenience for guests who need to charge multiple devices at the same time.

Our stay at Happy Buddha was fantastic. The host were really good too book our day trip to Borobudur and Prambanan at a great price. The recommendations for local restaurants and live music were spot on. We loved relaxing in the hammocks with the fan to stay cool. The location was perfect and we couldn't ask for more. we highly recommend this hotel.
